Mentalism is a sub-category of Magic and a specialized performing art in itself. Mentalism is similar to stage magic, however the mentalist mostly engages the minds of his spectators to create illusions. Blurring the lines between reality and imagination, the mentalist creates illusions of mind reading, thought reading and telekinesis power. He is seen to be able to know what word a spectator is concentrating on from a randomly chosen book, to bend metal with mind powers and to accurately predict something, among many other feats.
